Milk Jug Doom and Distruction!!!!

To begin this story it is important that I use a little disclaimer: Michael and I are a little nerdy. There, I said it. So with our friends we have started a new tradition. Whenever our milk runs out we keep the jug and save it for later use. After a sufficient number of milk jugs have been collected, our friends come over and bring with them an arsenal of weapons. We then proceed to execute all the milk jugs in increasingly gruesome ways.

We have been saving jugs for several weeks now and I finally got a little fed up with them all being in my kitchen. So we called our friends Dayna and Brodi, and Shem and Carly. We had nearly twenty milk jugs all together, and everyone got a turn with the weapon of their choice. And did we ever have choices!!! Our arsenal included a golf club, 2 kukris, 2 ninja swords, and a machete. I tended to favor the ninja swords while Michael really enjoyed using his machete to cut the jug in half while it was being thrown through the air. It made me feel so safe to know that he sleeps with it next to our bed every night and is honing his skills just in case a robber were to break into our home. :)

Here are some fun pictures of our militia practicing in case we are ever needed.

Me with my ninja sword and victim!

That's right! He got it in MIDAIR!!!

Some were more in the mood then others.

Alas, nerdyness is contagious.

So if you catch yourself eying your milk jugs and the butchers knife, its ok. Give in to the urge... it will be good for you!

Michael's Early Birthday

This week Michael and I decided that he deserved to see his family since once the baby comes we will have a harder time traveling. We felt that it would be better for him to go alone because I can't drive for long distances without very frequent stops (Potty BREAK!) We bought him a ticket to fly up and he will drive back down with his sister Jen. Surprisingly, the flight is almost as long as the drive (seven hours!)

Since the flight was so long, Michael decided he would need something to entertain himself. So he begged for his birthday present to come early this year. He has been dreaming of a new Ipod nano for almost a year now and I finally broke down and said yes. He immediately took me down to Walmart (probably so I wouldn't have a chance to change my mind) and started looking at his options. He was like a kid in a candy store. Once he bought the black one, he raced home to start messing with it on the computer. I would say that he had one of his best unbirthday's ever!
